S2000 UPDATE!!!

HEY!!! I didn’t buy it..and probably won’t. (Sad face)

It was priced at 19,900 and I know there is wiggle room but my boss doesn’t give employee discounts. All in I’m looking at $22,137 exactly.

Unfortunately my finances come into play, seeing how either I pay my car off and trade it in (and get shafted) or my dad takes over the loan/pays it off and I dump my pay check into a down payment. The latter isn’t a smart move in my opinion as I do have other things to pay. I could finance through my own bank and not have to dump a huge down payment into a car, but it’d then be a huge loan in my name which I do not like.

Lastly, I don’t feel like I’ll be here very long and I’d rather not throw all the money I make into a car I cannot comfortably live in.

I, too, had an S2000 in my grasp until logistics won over. So, to compensate, I bought an M3.

More than most cars, I felt it needed a garage. Something I don’t have. Plus, I don’t live in the best neighborhoods when it comes to vehicle break-ins. And S2000s something something ripped roof something stolen seats.

I’ve been looking for a S2000 as well, the few unmolested examples are damned expensive, these things really held their value. I may pick up a Miata or a Boxster, TBD

Yeah, looked up the car yesterday and saw the price. Bummer. It sucks, but I’m sure they could probably sell it at that price too. Although I would like to think if I ran the dealership I’d sell it to my employee at slightly above cost. Oh well, look at the bright side. If you switch jobs you won’t be stuck in a huge payment. Adulting sucks sometimes.

I wanted this one so bad. It was fucking perfect, 2011 Alpine White, 6MT, premium sound. Only problem was that it was going to cost me $1000/month for 60 months to finance it. I wanted it so bad that I was willing to do it, I couldn’t get financed though, so I had to walk away. It wasn’t the right time. 9 months later I did finally get my E90, paid it off in 13 months too.

It was $49,900 before taxes and fees and things like that. In total, including fees, financing, taxes, etc, it cost me $54290.

Probably, however it’s gonna be a 2008 with a lot of miles on it. Mine had 15.7k miles on it when I got it and it was only 3 years old. While the purchase price might be in the 30s, it still comes with M car repair bills.
